Julius Asal Piano Recital Singapore 2026

Experience an extraordinary evening of raw passion, haunting beauty and emotional release in LAST WORDS
— 未尽之言 — a profound musical journey through Ghosts • Farewells • Love • Eternity. Bringing this powerful concept to life for his highly anticipated Singapore debut is 29-year-old German sensation Julius Asal, one of the most exciting young pianists on the world stage today.
A natural improviser who was playing melodies by ear before he could speak, Julius enchants audiences worldwide with his elemental energy, spontaneity and spirit of discovery. Signed exclusively to Deutsche Grammophon in 2023 and named a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, his debut album Scriabin–Scarlatti has surpassed 25 million streams worldwide.
For this milestone recital, Julius presents a bold, intuitively curated programme featuring the Singapore premiere of Lera Auerbach’s Love Letters of Emma Hauck, Beethoven’s transcendent final Piano Sonata, Schumann’s haunting Ghost Variations, and selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet — including Julius’s own celebrated piano transcriptions. Prepare to be swept away by his instinctive artistry and vast palette of colourful sonorities, brought vividly to life on Berlin’s magnificent C. Bechstein D 282 Concert Grand.
