漫长的告别：MONO《Snowdrop》

后摇巨擘MONO 携新作《Snowdrop》来台

当MONO 在2023 年与长期合作的制作人兼挚友Steve Albini 录制上一张专辑《OATH》时，他们从未想过，那会是彼此最后一次共同完成的作品。

隔年，Albini 不幸辞世。这个消息不只在所有认识他的人心中留下难以填补的空缺，也影响了那些曾参与、或被他过去四十年间无数作品所触动的人。无论在情感或实际层面上，这样的失去都让MONO 面对深沉的悲伤与未知。 Albini 早已成为MONO 标志性声音的重要一部分，要「取代」他几乎令人难以想像。

于是，曾与Touche Amore、Smashing Pumpkins 合作的制作人Brad Wood，加入了这段旅程。凭借对MONO 创作与录音方式的理解，以及与Steve Albini 长年的深厚情谊，Brad Wood 在2025 年9 月进入Albini 的Electrical Audio 录音室，开始录制这张后来成为《Snowdrop》的作品。

这次MONO 再度与芝加哥指挥暨管弦乐总监Chad McCullough 合作，为专辑中的八首长篇作品加入10 人编制的管弦乐团与8 人合唱团。在这个见证他们25 年创作历程的录音空间中完成演出与录制，也让《Snowdrop》每一首作品都多了一层更深的重量与情感。

原以为《Snowdrop》会笼罩在浓厚的哀伤之中，但它呈现的，反而是一种带着温度的感谢。这张专辑没有停留在悲痛里，而是细腻地描绘与挚友共度时光的珍贵，以及对未来的念想。《Snowdrop》像是一段把震惊与失落慢慢转化为希望与光的过程，也是一支乐团在未知之中，重新找到方向的证明。

「每一种花都有其花语。在这张专辑中，我们把那些献给逝者的花所承载的意义，放进每一首歌名之中。我们希望，这张作品能为失去挚爱的人，带来一点光，以及一点继续走下去的力量。」
