郭台铭， 山西省泽州县南岭乡葛万村人，1950年出生，企业家，台湾企业鸿海精密（下属富士康科技集团）创办人，父亲郭爱物。[1]
1966年郭台铭进入台湾“中国海事专科学校”学习，靠半工半读完成学业。服完兵役后，郭台铭在复兴航运公司当业务员。1971年，台湾“中国海专”毕业，进入当时台湾前三大船 务公司复兴航运工作；当年进入台湾复兴航运公司工作。1985年，成立美国分公司，创立FOXCONN（富士康）自有品牌。[2][2][2]
2014年9月3日，第二届晋商大会召开，台湾鸿海集团（富士康母公司）总裁郭台铭衣锦还乡并出席致辞。 2015年6月郭台铭不满被指捐3亿台币政治献金 ，郭台铭控告周玉蔻涉嫌妨害名誉，郭台铭出庭亲战对手，提告求偿1000万元，并要求登报道歉，出庭后郭台铭在双手写下忍字，台媒算成本郭台铭出庭一趟200万；8月3日，郭台铭砸600万登广告，限台北市长柯文哲48小时内还鸿海清白；11月14日，郭台铭砸280亿在郑州造手机面板。2016年4月2日，郭台铭与夏普公司正式签订收购协议，富士康将收购夏普公司66%的股份。2018年2月郭台铭参投全球首个数字货币商业银行。[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
2018年9月，郭台铭入选“世界最具影响力十大华商人物”。[10]2019年福布斯全球亿万富豪榜排名第257位，财富值63亿美元。
2019年7月15日，郭台铭败选2020年台湾地区领导人选举国民党党内初选[11]。2019年9月16日晚，郭台铭向支持者道歉，表明不参选台湾地区领导人，但不会放弃参与政治事务。[12][13]
